Okay: Now that you've found a place for easy car loans, what kind of car should you look at?
Most bad credit car loans are in the $7,000 to $12,000 range, which is why we research bargains in that price range. If this information has whet your whistle, see Auto Loan Central or Auto Loan Stores for more research. Finding the right car is as easy as finding the right lown.
You can save money by learning how the same basic car is slightly tweaked in appearance as a way for global manufacturers to create distinctions between brands on the cheap. For instance:
• If you're looking at a Chevy Silverado, the Isuzu I-series truck is essentially the same vehicle -- but a couple thousand less.
• The Volvo s40 and Mazda 3 are basically the same car -- but the Mazda is cheaper.
• The Hyundai Accent and Kia Rio are pretty much identical, but the Kia has a much better warranty.
• The Pontiac G5 is a rebadged Chevy Cobalt, but costs less (about $13,900 compared to $15,100.)
The cheapest new cars on a dealer's lot will usually be the smallest, so that's why a lot of bad credit car buyers look for more luxurious models a few years old.
Thing is, with gas prices being the way they are, smaller, more fuel-efficient cars are getting more attention -- so it's getting harder to haggle on the price.
The cheapest new car in America is the Chevy Aveo, and while critics like to trash it, people who actually drive them like them. The 07 redesign offered more interior room, and you're looking at a better than 30 mpg on a car listing for $11,000.
Other entry level models of note by critics include the Toyota Yaris, Ford Focus, Honda Fit and Nissan Versa.
